After obtaining a scholarship at Passy Buzenval (Hauts-de-Seine), Hugues obtained a Law Degree at the Munich and Paris II
Universities, and Masters degrees both in Private law and "Droit notarial" (Panthéon-Assas University – Paris II).
He joined CABINET HOHL in 1997, became a partner in 2001, and managing partner in 2007.
With a certification in wealth management, wealth tax and international tax, he regularly holds seminars and conferences, and created the "Droit privé du patrimoine" supplement to the "Gazette du Palais", a recognised reference work in the legal press since 1886.
Hugues currently presides the "Commission fiscal franco-allemande" (CFACI), and is an extraordinary member of the Deutscher Anwaltverein (German lawyers association).
From 2011 to 2013, he presided the "Comité droit de la famille et des successions" of the "Conseil des Barreaux Européens" (CCBE), an organization which represents hundreds of thousands of lawyers from 27 EU Member States and 15 Associate and Observer countries.
From 2009 to 2011, Hugues was member of the "Conseil de l'Ordre des Avocats de Paris". He is a member of "Droit et Procédure", of the International Fiscal Association (IFA), and the "Comité français de droit international privé".
He is a certified collaborative family law practitioner, from the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals (IACP).
